Many people who are just starting down the path of Wicca are timid about casting a circle and
performing a ritual. They fear conjuring demons, insulting the gods or having the gods laugh or
scowl at them for doing something wrong.

The gods are nature itself, the Universe, the unlimited energy that surrounds and fills us. They no more laugh at us than we laugh at ourselves… one should laugh at oneself once in a while.

In nature there is no concept of Good or Evil. These are terms invented, developed and used as labels by our own societies. Having said that, it would be unlikely that you could conjure an evil demon since evil does not exist other than in our minds. Now you may argue that in nature there is death and destruction and even cruelty. Yes, this is true, but it is not evil, only the end and beginning of cycles. The wheel turns and some things come to an end and others are newly born into being. This is the way of nature… it is our way.
